consisting of: one tablet, one tea pot, one sugar pot, two cups and saucers.

 

Gilt scrollwork framed cartouches over a deep cobalt-blue ground. Very fine “Kauffahrtei- and battle scenes” at sea.

The tablet with an extremely fine sea battle scene of the capture of Gibraltar by

the anglo-dutch forces in August 1704 during the war of the Spanish succession.

Very fine polychrome decoration.

 

This Tête à Tête is probably a present to Lord Nelson.
